It has been a very busy summer here at Manor Models, there has clearly been a lot of repairs and restorations going on out there. I would just like to say to everyone, "thank you for choosing Manor Models". I've just, in the last 2 weeks, got me a laser cutter and have a whole string of projects in the pipeline; Railway wagons, trailers, enhancements (or should that be beautification products ;-) , Whatever you call them there is a lot to come, if I get the time. The first, of many, is the little steps for the Mamod traction engine: Here is another orange crate I am just finishing for use as a load on the Steam Wagon or open trailer: If you do order it please allow a few days for delivery as I have not yet sorted everything out. I have a living van on the way as well. It will have removeable roof, so you can decorate the inside, opening front door and planking on the outside. At the moment I plan to produce three versions. 1. Van part only. i.e. no running gear so you can use your own chassis and wheels if you want. 2. Chassis and wheels only so that you can build your own body. e.g. open trailer, flat trailer or anything else you can construct. 3. Van and chassis together i.e. the compete living van. All will be supplied in self-assembly kit form but, if I do my job correctly, assembly will be a doddle. Price, although not finalised, should be competitive. TYRES I have had to start making my own tyres over the last few months so supply has been spasmodic but is a little better now. Just this afternoon I have been working on the diagonal style tyres with a degree of success it seems. Although this is not the final version just have a look at this photo. You are looking at the seam side of the tyre, it is not hidden around the other side. I'm not saying it is invisible but hopefully you will agree it is pretty discrete. More work is needed yet like making the right hand tyre slant the opposite way. Also I need to make for the other models, Wilescos and Steam Wagon. Again if you are interested please keep an eye on the website.

I have no more definitive news on the Queen's Diamond Jubilee MSS loco. Engine numbers 9 and 10 of the 250 to be built are still available via the Railway website. There is rumour that there will also be Diamond Jubilee carriages built in the same livery as the engine but not a numbered series. Hmmm... I wonder if they would consider building a tender as well, or is that too big an ask? Just as soon as I have the design for the loco I will put it on the website
There is also good news on the Railway Track front in that the points and straight track are now available once again. That means that the 'Sets' are also back in stock, just in time for Christmas.

The latest information I have on the long running Wilesco steam lorry saga is that the first few have been shipped within Germany, but none here in the UK yet. Just as a general aside, during the new year I will be working on wooden kit built driven models along the lines of the Wilesco fairground series but nowhere near as expensive. Roundabouts swingboats ferris wheels etc etc. Further news when I have it.
